Luigi Salotti, artista che aderisce alla Transavanguardia , nasce a Lucca, dove vive ed ha il proprio studio.

Diplomato all'Istituto d'Arte della propria città natale, vi ha anche insegnato. Nel corso degli anni, la sua attività pedagogica lo porta ad insegnare anche in altre regioni: all'Istituto d'Arte di Siena, a Chiavari, ed al Liceo Artistico di Genova, mentre, attualmente ricopre la cattedra di discipline pittoriche al Liceo Artistico di Lucca. In ogni città dove ha vissuto, Luigi Salotti ha partecipato ad iniziative artistiche.

Nel campo artistico lo stile di Luigi Salotti è frutto di un insieme di stili dove l'artista si dedica ad applicare e sperimentare , a seconda dei momenti e dei temi, tecniche innovative, nell'affannosa ricerca di spazi e lidi dove approdare.

E' il continuo studio della materia, del colore come stimolo, per un avvicinamento sempre maggiore alla pittura, intesa come intrico di correnti e di stili, da cui bisogna uscirne, per ripensare in maniera originale le immagini.

Picasso, De Chirico, Balla, Monet, Chagal, Boccioni etc. sono costanti riferimenti. E' questo rimescolare , che da all'artista la forza e un vigore maggiore, nella costante ricerca dell'emozione, dello scrutare orizzonti nuovi, nell'immaginario di forme da rappresentare.

A seguito di continui viaggi a Venezia, e Roma , Luigi Salotti sceglie di ispirarsi (e di sublimare attraverso la propria arte) alle icone dell'universo lagunare, e le imponenti architetture vaticane. Da non dimenticare nemmeno la presenza, nei suoi quadri di squarci di vita, paesaggi e figure umane, arricchite dalla forza dei contrasti di colore, in un disegno che a volte è volutamente incompleto e deformato, dove il dipinto è un campo di intensità , evento “lampante” ed “enigma”aperto all'interpretazione dello spettatore.

La tecnica mista è quella che maggiormente riesce a creare un' emozione all'artista, realizzata con pennellate forti, contrastanti, che affiora in un eclettismo artistico che suggerisce infinite strade, svincolato dal principio di linearità e coerenza storica.

E' un intersecarsi di stili, dove si ritrovano le grandi avanguardie, in un turbinio di pennellate cariche di intenso colore, in un incontro tra la “pulsione” soggettiva dell'artista e la materia.

Le opere di Luigi Salotti sono presenti in diverse collezioni pubbliche e private, in Italia e all'estero in paesi quali il Belgio, la Svezia , la Finlandia e la Cina.

Luigi Salotti , which adheres to the Transavanguardia, born in Lucca, where he lives and has his studio.

Graduated from the Art Institute of his hometown, there has also taught. Over the years, his pedagogical activity led him to teach in other regions: the Art Institute of Siena, in Chiavari, and the Art School of Genoa, while he is currently chair of the disciplines of painting at the Art School of Lucca. In every city where he lived, Luigi Salotti has participated in artistic initiatives.

In the artistic style of Luigi Salotti is the result of a 'set of styles where the artist is dedicated to apply and experience, according to the moments and themes, innovative techniques, in the frantic search for places and beaches where to land.

And 'the continuous study of the subject, the color as a stimulus for an approach more and more to painting, understood as a maze of currents and styles, that we must get out of it, to rethink an original images.

Picasso, De Chirico, Balla, Monet, Chagall, Boccioni etc. They are constant references. And 'this reshuffle, which the artist strength and a force majeure, in constant search of emotions, of scrutinizing new horizons, in the imagination of forms to be represented.

Following constant trips to Venice and Rome, Luigi Salotti choose to be inspired (and to sublimate through their art) to the icons of the universe lagoon, and the imposing architecture Vatican. Not to forget even the presence in his paintings of glimpses of life, landscapes and human figures, enriched by the power of color contrasts, in a design that is sometimes deliberately incomplete and deformed, where the painting is a field intensity, event "striking" and "Enigma" open interpretation of the viewer.

The mixed media is the one most able to create a 'emotion to the artist, made with strong strokes, contrasting, that surfaces in an artistic eclecticism that suggests endless streets, free from the principle of linearity and historical coherence.

It 'an intersection of styles, where they found the great avant-garde, in a flurry of brushstrokes loaded with intense color, in a meeting between the "drive" the artist and subjective matter.

The works of Luigi Salotti are in several public and private collections, in Italy and abroad in countries such as Belgium, Sweden, Finland and China.
